WEEK 1

Hello welcome back to my blog!! This week we recalled on how we made a keyring using fusion 360. We went through our module overview, as well as how we can strengthen our team. We then moved on to recalling our skills on fusion 360, by making the keyring. So you should scroll down to see what we have done during classπŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡.

Now moving on, I actually took some screenshots while making the keyring, so that you can follow along the journey together with me πŸ˜€. scroll down to see how I did my unique key ringπŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ :)

Recalling of making a keychain in CP5065 using fusion 360

Firstly, I made a sketch of a rectangle with measurements of 65mm x 25mm.πŸ‘‡

Figure 1: Rectangle 65mm x 25mm

Offset the sketch by 2mm and fillet the corners by a radius of 5mm.πŸ‘‡

Figure 2 : After offset and fillet

Then I created a line which has a 7mm distance from the tip of the keyring. I created a point in the middle of that line and made a circle with a radius of 5mm.πŸ‘‡

Then I created a text and typed out whatever I wanted to type. I made sure it was within the rectangle by adjusting the font as well as the font size. After this I finished my sketch.πŸ‘‡

Moving on, I extruded only the base by 3mm.πŸ‘‡

Afterwards, I hid all the bodies and only show my sketch. Now I extruded the border and text by 1.5mm. I changed the start in the extrude menu to offset plane by an offset of 3mm. Then I clicked on the ‘eye’ icon to show all bodies and sketch together. Followed by hiding my sketch, is my FINAL PRODUCT.πŸ‘‡

reflection:
From this activity, my memory on the usage of fusion360 was refreshed. It was actually difficult at first as I did try without the help of the video. But while following the video, it was actually pretty easy. I did remember some of the following steps before the video could continue onto the next steps. Though I managed to finish this activity, I am still not familiarized with all the features of this software. I will try to attain more knowledge by doing my own research during my free time. It was so much fun doing this activity and customizing my own keychain like how we did in the previous module.

THE KEYRING IS FINALLY COMPLETED, there is an embedded version of the final product. So scroll down to see it.πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
